Do you love creating things and trying a whole bunch of new projects that no one has ever seen before?

Here is a brand new one for you!

Create candles on a concrete base that you will make in a silicone mold! A small project to do in less than 10 minutes!

You will love the result of the mix of two materials! A gray and uneven base because you will not bother to evenly lay out the concrete in the silicone mold and a smooth, white top for the candle because you will cast the melted wax onto the concrete. A porous material and a very smooth material.

You will need:

Note: All kitchen accessories that you will use for this project should not be used for cooking afterwards, since traces of arsenic can be found after such a project. We advise you to use old kitchen accessories and keep them for this purpose.

-A silicone mold

-A hot glue gun

-Candle wicks

-A big bowl

-1250 g (5 cups) quick setting cement

-250 ml (1 cup) of water

-A plastic spoon

-A saucepan

-A toothpick

-A heat-resistant glass bowl to cook in bain-marie

-1500 g (6 cups) paraffin (wax)

-A measuring spoon

How to do:

1) Add a drop of hot glue under each candle wick and glue them into the silicone mold

2) In a plastic bowl, add the 1250 g (5 cups) quick-setting cement

3) Add 250 ml (1 cup) of water gradually and mix

4) Add the cement into the silicone mold. Keep aside.

5) Once the concrete is dry, boil some water in a saucepan and place a heat-resistant bowl on the pan, leaving a toothpick in between so that air can circulate.

6) Put the paraffin in the bowl and let it melt

7) Add the melted wax on the concrete

8) Cut the candle wicks to 2 cm
