CHRISTMAS OIL LANTERN

REQUIRED MATERIAL

  • Hammer + nail
  • 1 Mason jar with its lid
  • 1 bottle of paraffin oil, olive oil or unscented oil
  • 1 wick 100% cotton (do not use those with polyester, which give off toxic fumes).
  • 1 pair of scissors

GUIDELINES

* Place your decorative items in your container (berries, pinewood, cinnamon sticks, etc.) until you get the desired look.

* Fill the container with the oil before inserting the wick.

Advice:

For the wick, dip the tip of the wick into the oil. Once well soaked, wring excess oil with a paper towel to prevent the wick to drip everywhere.

* Drill a hole the same size as the insert that will hold the wick in place.

* Place the wick in the lid with the insert making sure that the wick hangs down to the center of the container.

* Screw the metal washer tightly.

* Light on and admire your creation :)
