Tan France is one of the fab five from the popular TV show Queer Eye, where a team of 5 gay professionals offer make-betters to heterosexual man in the all the aspects of their lives; wardrobe, redecorating, grooming, lifestyle and food.
Tan and his husband Rob France were looking at one house in particular in Salt Lake City for over 7 years! They knew right away that this was the house for them and were ready to wait years to get it. Luckily for us, they offered a house tour to Architectural Digest so we can also take a look inside!
Let's start with the master bedroom: The couple wanted to keep the original molding, but structural updates to the house forced it to be removed. However, they : “We took so many photos to make sure that we could redo it the exact same way”.
The couple chose a smaller bed as they like to be close to each other, how romantic!
France is an excellent cook and therefore needed a realfor Chef's Kitchen! The kitchen turn out fabulous with all the best equipment a home chef can ask for.
The kitchen and dinning area are in an open-space concept, so the couple can easily entertain their guests.
The beautiful sunny dinning room can accommodate up to 10 people.
An overview of the beautiful living room. The couple describe their style as modern-classic.
The sofa was actually Tan first purchase for the house! He wanted a grey and brass look for the house and that sofa was absolutely perfect for them.
This wall is the focal point in the living room, Tan wanted to display his vintage accessories while taking advantage of unusual wall.
This beautiful window seating is actually storage space for the kitchen, what a genius idea!
The house even has it's own closet for candles! We bet it smells heavenly in there.
It's one of Tan favourite space in the house when he's feeling depressed or sad.
The shared bathroom features beautiful white subway tiles that go up to the ceiling and double shower heads as the couple prefer showers rather than baths. The other details are mostly grey and brass as the rest of the house.
The ensuite bathroom feature a beautiful bathtub, but according to Tan it is only being used once every 6 months as neither of them really enjoys baths. He calls it his Instagram bathroom!
The final and probably most impressive space is Tan's closet! The floor runs the whole length of the house and is filled with mostly Tan's clothes. A dream for any fashionista!
There is also a special place dedicated only to Tan's footwear.
What is your favourite room of the house? We must admit that we are very jealous of the giant closet!
