The moment we move the clock back and the temperature on the thermostat is halved, it’s time to pull out of the closet all the warm pieces we own and welcome the winter! That also means spending more time indoors and especially this year in the midst of the global pandemic. A lot of us are already spending all our evenings in our cozy living room.
But what if we tell you that you can spend the whole day in bed? Kotatsu, a Japanese invention, is an unusual piece of furniture that keep us warm during the colder days. Due to its unique design, Kotatsu has everything one might need to spend the whole winter in one place; the couch or the bed!
Although Kotatsu is currently at the peak of its popularity, this ingenious invention dates back to the 14th century, and its role is to provide warmth during cold days.
It is basically a heated table that includes a comforter and it lets you nap, work, eat or watch your favourite show! That sounds perfect for anybody working from home!
It comes in two separate parts' the base and the table-top. There is an electric heater attached beneath that will keep your body warm while the table-top gives you a flat surface to work or eat. Genius!
If you know someone who just can't wait to crawl under the blankets and pillows to enjoy some warmth in the colder months, this might be the perfect Christmas present! Or maybe that someone is you?
What do you think of this idea? Would you like to own one?
