Here is a great card idea to offer for Father's Day, which you could suggest to your teenagers.

A little bit too elaborate for young children, this project is very stimulating to captivate a teenager and help him/her to take up a new challenge.

- Would you be able to make this beautiful Pop up card but with the word "Dad"?

Yes!

Your teenager has contradictory spirit?

Challenge him/her! It will be funny!

- Would you be able to make this beautiful Pop up card but with the word "Dad"?

No!

Offer him/her help if necessary and if he/she wants, to at least draw the letters.

Your teenager will do the rest!

You will need:

- White sheet

- Pink card of 14.8 cm x 21 cm

- Light blue-green card of 14.8 cm x 21 cm

- A ruler

- A utility knife (X-Acto knife)

- A pencil

- Double-sided tape

- Blu-tack

How to do:

1) Start by drawing a large rectangle that will fit into the dimensions of your folded card

2) Then, draw the letters DAD all of the same height and the same width

3) Next, draw an extension on top of each letter about 2 cm height by 1.5 cm width

4) Then draw a line at 1/3 at the bottom of the letters, mark an X everywhere you will have to cut with the X-Acto knife (so all the interiors of letters and hearts)

5) Cut all the outlines of the rectangle and remove them

6) Use the double-sided tape to glue the white paper on one of the 2 colored cards.

7) The white sheet is now used as a template, so cut all the parts with an X in the colored card. Then cut all the letters (watch the video)

8) Next, cut the edges of the colored cards

9) Remove the white template

10) Now it's time to make the 2 most important folds. The one of the line drawn at the 1/3 bottom of the letters and the one above the extensions of each letter.

11) Then fold the other colored card into 2 and paste the 1st cardboard in the 2nd with the double-sided tape

12) Use blu-tack to attach the little hearts
