Lauren Nelson is a young lady from Attica, New York who was living a perfectly normal life. Then, the coronavirus lockdown began and Lauren wanted to do something fun! The 11-years-old really wanted a fort or a clubhouse for herself and her family so they have a nice place to play during the lockdown.

However, the little girl had to face the cold reality; it is really expensive.

The ideas she was looking at where around $600-700 and her parents told her she could get a real camper for less than that! They maybe didn't realize at that time that Lauren actually fell in love with that idea!

Lauren decided to buy a camper by herself with money she saved over time. She had three enveloppes containing her savings from Christmases, birthdays and other occasion.

"I had an envelope where I kept all my money from birthdays and Christmases, and I saved it all up, and that's what I bought the camper with," Lauren told Insider

Lauren is a very lucky little gril! A neighbour just down the street was actually selling a 1988 Sunline Sunray camper and she was even able to negotiate the price down from $500 to $400.

However the camper was filled with junk, mice and feces. But that didn't stop Lauren, she just kept working on renovating her dream house.

Lauren told Insider: "I got to design it, and I got to pick whatever I wanted for it," she is a true aspiring interior designer! She found most of her inspiration on Pinterest and picked a "boho, beachy" aesthetic.

Her family was nice enough to provide her with an additional $500 to renovate the camper. They took care of the flooring, paint, cushion covers, and peel-and-stick backsplash. While Lauren focused on the decoration.

The kitchen even has an oven, sink, and refrigerator. While the camper is not connected to any electricity or water right now, Lauren has plans on the future to get solar panels to make the camper even more operational.
