The CEO of the building company explains: “We live big here in America, but at the same time there’s a growing awareness about resource conservation. What I like about the Flex House is we’re not asking people to sacrifice; we’re just asking people to not use any more room than they need.” The Flex House was designed to be affordable and range from $85,000 to $100,000.
The house also feature a fully integrated smart and solar system that streamlines energy usage. Flex Houses serve as their own microgrid, which means that they produce all of their own energy!
They are also designed to be water efficient with the most water conserving products and fixtures. It also comes with the Amazon assistant built-in, so you get a smart lock, a smart doorbell, and a smart thermostat and you can also control the lights with a voice-enable system!
You will also get a stackable washer and dryer inside the home. An HVAC system is also included - all the amenities you will have in a regular home.
The advanced water system by Nexus e-Water works to reuse greywater for landscaping and water flushing.
There is even a dinning space!
Even if it's a smaller home, the Flex House includes livable living areas.
The kitchen is filled with European Bosh 24" appliances. All the finishes are natural; the countertop is made of sustainable stone and the floor is recyclable laminate flooring from Mohawk that offers a healthy indoor air quality.
The bedroom is optimized to create a perfect sleep environment.
The bedroom is synched with Alexa to create a programmable comfort.
