Reese Witherspoon recently posted on her Instagram the smoothie recipe she has been drinking for now over 8 years! It must be really good!
The famous actress said: "This is the smoothie that I drink every single day and I have probably for eight years, nine years, I don’t even know!"
"It has a lot of vegetables in it so I have this instead of breakfast around 10 or 11 o'clock in the morning and then I’m not hungry at all until 1 o'clock,"
Want to try it? Here's how to make it at home!
- 2 heads romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup spinach
- 1/2 cup of coconut water
- 1 whole banana
- 1 whole apple
- 1 whole pear
- 1 whole lemon (rind removed with pips for added fibre)
- Celery (optional)
- Nut butter (optional)
- Protein powder (optional)
The amount of fruits, one pear, one apple, a banana and an entire lemon may seem like a lot, but Reese explains that this actually makes two portions! She said: "then I leave it in the fridge so that I don’t have to make it tomorrow."
Once you have all the ingredients in the blender, you can add protein powder, your favourite nut butter or flax seeds.
