If you stock-up on pasta and are looking for new ideas on how to use it, you should make pasta chips! This recipe makes an excellent snack for late-night or movie-night! Don't forget to serve with warm Marinara sauce for extra deliciousness! So yummy.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 lb. pasta (bowtie is best)
  • Vegetable oil (if you are frying)
  • 1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • Marinara sauce (for serving)

DIRECTIONS

DEEP-FRY

  1. Start by cooking the pasta until al dente (about 8 minutes) in a large pot of salted boiling water.
  2. In a large and deep skillet, pour about ½ inch of vegetable oil and heat over medium heat. When the oil is bubbling, add about 1 cup al dente pasta in a single layer. Cook until  its golden and crispy,  that should take about 2 minutes per side. Use paper towels to drain some of the oil, then season immediately with Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt and pepper.
  3. Repeat with the rest of the pasta, work in small batches.
  4. Serve with warm marinara sauce.

AIR FRYER

  1. Start by cooking the pasta until al dente (about 8 minutes) in a large pot of salted boiling water. Drain the pasta and transfer to a large bowl with Parmesan, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  2. Working in small batches, air fryer the pasta at 400° until  its golden brown and crispy, about 8 to 10 minutes. Toss the pasta halfway through. Spread onto a baking sheet to cool down.
  3. Serve with warm marinara sauce.
