10 easy and quick ways to fix your broken glasses

Buying a pair of glasses can cost hundreds of dollars. In addition to the frame, lenses, which must be adapted to our eyesight, sometimes with ultra thin lenses or with anti-glare, it can be very expensive and glasses are not always reimbursed by insurance.

So what's more frustrating than noticing a scratch in one of your glasses ... especially when you still want to keep your glasses for years and do not have enough money to buy another pair of glasses ...

Dish soap and glass cleaner

Mix one part dish soap with glass cleaner. Gently soak a cloth into the mixture and gently rub the lenses of your glasses.

The baby wash

Put some baby wash on a microfiber cloth. Rub gently. You will quickly see the result.

Brass polish

Remove tiny, shallow scratches ! However, make sure, that your product does not contain acetone, which can stain your glasses permanently ...

Rubbing alcohol

No, this is not only to disinfect wounds ! Combine your rubbing alcohol with baking soda and gently rub your glasses with this mixture. Your glasses will be clean, and scratches will disappear !

Car wax

Tiny, shallow scratches will be easily removed if you gently rub your glasses with this product. Just make sure to rinse with water afterward to avoid any buildup.


Use a non-abrasive toothpaste to avoid scratching your glasses. To make sure you’re not buying abrasive toothpaste, avoid anything that includes whitening or plaque removal agents. You'll see, toothpaste is amazing !

Warm water and soap

This is simple but it works ! Mix some hand soap in warm water and then soak a microfiber cloth in this mixture. Do not hesitate to add some baking soda to the mixture.

The metal polish

Choose a non-abrasive metal polish. Gently rub it on your lenses with cotton balls. Then rinse your glasses with warm water.
