Almost everybody has already experienced this situation, a fun day at the pool or the beach and in the evening or the next morning the horror: a painful sunburn. 

Do you know that there are effective ingredients that helps relieve pain fast? And you probably have them at home! Vinegar, tomato, baking soda, tea, really simply ingredients that many households always have... All of these natural remedies will take the heat away from the sunburn and of course, prevent nasty and painful blisters.

Here are X ways to relieve your skin. 

1. Vinegar

Fill a large bowl with half white vinegar and half cold water. Soak a clean cloth and apply the cloth to the sunburn for 5 minutes. Repeat for 3 times.

2. Earl Grey Tea 

Soak three packs of tea in hot water, until the water turns black. Wait for it to cool down, you don't want hot tea on your skin! Once it is at room temperature, dip a clean towel or cloth and apply to the sunburn.  Leave on the sunburn until the skin absorbs the liquid, and don't wipe it off. Repeat as many times as necessary.

3. Honey & Lemon 

Prepare a mixture of 1 tablespoon of honey with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply it on the sunburn and let sit for 10 minutes. Then, wipe down with a damp, cool cloth.

4. Tomatoes

Simply cut a tomato in half. and apply it directly to the sunburn to soothe the pain and decrease the redness. Rinse off with cold water and you should see the sunburn go away!

5. Potatoes 

Cut a potato in thin slices and apply directly on the burn area. 

6. Baking soda

You will need 1 tablespoon of baking soda, 250 ml of cool water and a clean towel or cloth. Pour the baking soda into a bowl and add the water. Mix well with a spoon to dilute the baking soda. Soak a clean cloth in this mixture and apply to the sunburn. Leave on for 15 minutes. You can repeat the application until the burning sensation disappears.

7. Apple Cider Vinegar

Make a mixture of 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and 2 large glasses of cold water. Soak a clean cloth and cover the sunburn area with Alternatively, you can also pour 2 cups of apple cider vinegar in a cold bath.

8. Cucumber 

Blend a cucumber until you get a paste like consistency and apply on the skin. 

9. Aloe vera

Make ice cubes with aloe vera! Simply pour aloe vera gel in an ice-cube mold and once frozen apply on the affected area. 

10. Aspirin

Crush 2 aspirins in a bowl so you have a  fine powder. Add a little water to obtain a paste consistency and apply on sunburns to calm the skin.
