An elderly woman is turning her hometown into a true art gallery by adorning the houses with pretty patterns of blue flowers that she personally hand paints! The 90-year-old resident of Louka, Czech Republic named Anežka (Agnes) Kašpárková is a former agricultural worker that decided to finally follow her true passion: art.
She gets her inspiration from traditional Moravian art in the south of the Czech Republic. Using only a small brush and vibrant blue she paints to beautify the surroundings with intricate floral wall decorations.
She particularly likes the village chapel, which she touches up annually. Instead of planning her work in advance, she is simply letting her creativity guide her.
During winters, she takes a break due to the cold climate. However, the village becomes more charming as spring arrives!
Although her talent is recognized worldwide and by locals, she wishes to keep mural painting only a passion.
When interviewed by Czech media she said: “I am an artist, I just enjoy wall painting, and I want to help.”
That little village is truly lucky to have her!
What do you think of her work?
She is the perfect example that there is no age to follow your dreams!
