What is more frustrating than having aphids invades your roses, flowers and plants? Don't let them destroy your hard work! Nor buy harmful chemicals to get rid of them!
There is a natural and super effective aphid that was revealed by a gardener. The recipe is very simple; mix olive oil and baking soda!
1. In a spray bottle, add a tablespoon of baking soda.
2. Add in three tablespoons of olive oil.
3. Pour 300 ml of water.
4. Shake to mix well.
5. Apply to your plants threatened by aphids.
There you go, your plants are now naturally rid of aphids :-)
This mixture is effective on white and black aphids. However, you should avoid spraying your homemade anti-aphid product directly on the flowers and buds. It works for all plants and flowers, such as roses, geraniums, hibiscus, ivy, tomatoes, strawberries, cherry trees, rhubarb, bay leaves, lavender, mint, chives or basil, and so on.
If you don't have olive oil, you can simply spray vinegar water (half water / half white vinegar in a spray bottle) on plants attacked by pests. It is also very effective and the results are relatively quick. Baking soda and vinegar are super effective insecticides that are safe for your health and the environment. Did you know that the presence of ants promotes the reproduction of aphids? To make the anti-aphid recipe even more effective, also hunt ants in your garden!
