Pregnancy is a very important stage in life that more and more parents want to highlight in an original way. Some have a prenatal photo shoot, others go there for casts of the belly or jewelry made with the photo of the ultrasound.

While others can turn to Laura Steeman, painter from Dublin (Ireland) and mother of three children.

It was when she was pregnant with her first daughter and after going through several ups and downs related to her ultrasounds that Laura had an original idea of turning the ultrasounds of expectant mothers into true works of art.

She took to painting and illustrating what she saw in her ultrasounds to make the wait for birth a little bit easier

Soon her paintings became successful and she decided to take charge of other people. Now, she collaborates with future moms all over the world thanks to her artistic talent. It offers them the opportunity to keep a lifelong memory, both unique and artistic, of the expectation of their child.

The cost of Laura Steerman's works varies from 65 to 200 € ($97 to 299CAD).

Would you like to have such a painting as a souvenir of your pregnancy? Maybe that makes you want to paint it yourself?

Certainly no one else will hang the same painting in their house!
