If you are fed up to clean your frying pan, which is in very poor condition: I bring good news! You can put away your rubber gloves and rest your tired arms.

You will need: 1 cup vinegar, 2 tablespoons baking soda, 1 cup water (depending on the size of your pan), a burnt stainless steel pan that has been left empty and unattended on a hot stove (oops!) and a scouring sponge, because you have to scrub a little!
Fill the bottom of the pan with water and add the vinegar.
Bring the pan to a boil. Remove the pan from the heat and add the baking soda. Expect a "fizz"!
Many readers commented that they experienced a "dramatic effervescence" that required a lot of cleaning. To avoid this, you can pour the vinegar and then add the baking soda a little at a time.
Empty the pan and scour as usual. If necessary, add a little baking soda. If there are stubborn stains, make a paste of baking soda with a few drops of water. Leave the mixture on the marks for a moment and then come back to clean as usual.
In fact, it's done! You will not need to scrub intensely to get the burned out of your frying pan! That's a good thing, right?
