Great Blasket Island, is an island just off the coast of Ireland, that is looking for two people to live and work there for six months - from April to October. The Island's tourism centre actually posted a job listing on Twitter:
A great opportunity for your and your partner or best friend!
The island is the largest of the Blaskets, a group of island on the western coast of Ireland. Unfortunately, the rough terrain on the island made it an unpopulated area with 160 being the largest number of people living on it. However, in the past few years they have been working on restoring the houses and amenities to bring more visitors.
The visitors are invited to bring their own water as drinking water is limited, there is also no Wi-Fi connection, electricity or hot water for showers! Alice Hayes, the person responsible for posting the job explain that : "It's intense and tough but it's a very unique position, It's back to basics — fires, candles, stoves, wildlife, and nature."
Would you be able to live without WiFi, electricity or hot water? This is for sure a great adventure!
