Having children is expensive, even before they are born. Maternity clothes, baby clothes, baby car seat, bed, blankets and healthcare products . . .
The expenses only seem to increase as children get older. Babies and toddlers, for example, need diapers and baby wipes. In addition, their clothes and shoes seem to become too small after only two or three uses !
On top of that, you have to make sure that the house is safe ! One of the most common places to childproof, is wall outlets. The little ones are so attracted by these little holes in the wall, which often look like a face . . .
But these outlet covers do not always work. Many children can easily remove them from the outlets. So , why spending money for this ?
Before spending money for these outlet covers, you can transform the old baby wipe containers. Before tossing these baby wipe containers in the trash can, you can try this tip .
Brittany Kurtz , a mom, recently shared a childproofing hack that works well for her when it comes to those pesky wall outlets. To do this, she reuses baby wipe containers.
Brittany says this in her Facebook post :
" Remove the adhesive top from the baby wipes package, then place over outlets. I certainly still will keep my baby safe outlet covers in, but this is just another precaution for on top. Out of site, out of mind " .
Many moms love this hack and are now using it in their homes, but not everyone agrees that it is a great idea . Some moms posted comments stating that their toddlers would just open the baby wipe container on the wall, and it wouldn’t help them at all .
Watch the video below to make your own opinion ! One thing is certain, this thing is free, so it is not very risky to try it . . .
Have your children already put objects into your wall outlets ? What is your tip to prevent this from happening ?
