I do not understand why coconut oil is no that common.

It is an anti-cancer, an antimicrobial and an antioxidant since it is rich in essential fatty acid, lauric acid and myristic acid which give it extremely nourishing properties for the skin and the hair.

In the body care, coconut oil is really the perfect product and here is how to use it get all its benefits.

Shaving. Coconut oil can be used as a shaving cream on your skin or after shaving to soothe irritations. Coconut oil does not block pores and does not cause the formation of ingrown hairs. You need very little to oil your legs before shaving and in addition the oil will make your skin ultra soft to the touch!

Bruises. You bumped on a piece of furniture and you see a bruise appearing? Apply coconut oil as soon as you can on the bruise. Coconut oil will accelerate healing process and reduce swelling and redness.

Insect bites. As with bruises, coconut oil helps reduce the swelling and burning sensations of insect bites, while helping healing.

Hair. The benefits of coconut oil for hair are real! In mask or in special treatment against the loss of hair, coat your hair and your scalp with coconut oil, let act as long as possible and wash your hair with 2 good shampoos (it is very, very greasy!). Your hair will be shiny as never before.

Chewing Gum. To remove chewing gum that is in your hair, coconut oil is great, and as it is good for the hair, it really is the ingredient to use.

Nails and cuticles. To strengthen your nails and cuticles, rub them regularly with coconut oil.

Exfoliating. Prepare a very effective body scrub by mixing 1 part of coconut oil and 1 part of coarse salt or 1 part of coffee grounds. Your skin will never have been so soft!

Brown spots, wrinkles and dark circles. Before you go to bed, apply a thin layer of coconut oil on your face and on your wrinkles and you will quickly see a difference! When you wake up, clean your face to remove the oily layer that would not have been absorbed by the skin.

Make-up remover. Coconut oil can be used as a make-up remover! Apply to a cotton ball to remove make-up from the eyes (coconut oil is good for eyelashes and eyebrows) or directly on the face.
