Cabbage leaves have been used for centuries to treat swelling, ulcers, and sprains. Their anti-inflammatory properties were used to treat joint pain due to arthritis and sports injuries. They have also been used for decades by pregnant woman and new moms when it comes to pain related to breastfeeding! They are so many virtue to cabbages leaves and today we are sharing three great tips to help with anything feet related!

Gout:

First you need to freeze some cabbage leaves in a plastic bag by putting them in the freezer. When the gout pain sets in, place the leaves around the painful area, wrap a towel around the area, and let the warmth of your skin thaw the cabbage leaves naturally. This will help with the pain. 

Joint pain:

Take a few cabbage leaves, cut and crush them with a rolling pin until juice begins to appear. Then place the leaves and the juice on the painful joint and wrap a gauze bandage around to keep the leaves in place.

Swelling: 

Chill a few cabbage leaves in the freezer until cold but still foldable. Then wrap them around your feet and sit with your feet elevated for around 30 minutes. Cabbage has great water absorbing qualities, so it will draw excess fluid from your feet.

It is very rare for a person to be allergic to cabbage, but if you notice any abnormal swelling or irritation on your skin, stop the treatments immediately. Consult a health care practitioner if irritation persists or worsens.
