Ice cream should be enjoyed by the whole family and that includes our best fur friends! Ben & Jerry's just launched an ice cream treat specially designed for our four-legged friend the pups (sorry cats)!
The new frozen treats come in two flavors; Pontch's Mix, a combination of peanut butter and pretzel swirls and Rosie's Mix with real pumpkin and mini-cookies. The Pontch's Mix was inspired by a French bulldog while Rosie is the company's resident rescue mutt. Both flavours are made with a base of sunflower butter and from the same ingredients used in the company's non-dairy "human" desserts.
"We know our fans love their dogs and treat them like family," said Lindsay Bumps, Global Marketing Specialist at Ben & Jerry's. "We created this product line so pups can enjoy something even better than belly rubs. Doggie Desserts are the sweetest treat they'll ever put their paws on."
You will be able to find the treats in the frozen section of your grocery stores and pet shops. They will be sold in four-ounce mini-cups and will retail from $2.99 to $4.99 depending on the size. The Ben & Jerry's online store is already taking pre-orders for the four-packs.
If it wasn't enough, Ben & Jerry also launched pet accessories, including a Doggie Desserts-friendly bowl, an ice cream cone-shaped plush toy, and a leash, all available on their online shop.
This should be enough to make all the cats jealous!
